From Teen Queen to Could’ve-Been Celebrity is as Lindsay Lohan celebrity does, and it’s a shame, really, how Hollywood claimed the soul of the once very promising Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Dee Lohan had an early start on the journey to stardom. At age 3, she signed with Ford Models and appeared in over 100 print ads and 60 television commercials. At age 10, she debuted as a Bonestudio television actress in a daytime series, and a year later, went on to play twins in Disney’s The Parent Trap, making her one of the most popular child actresses of all time.
Lindsay Lohan – From Teen Queen to Could’ve-Been
Following a brief hiatus, Lindsay moved back into the limelight by appearing in a string of “teeny-bopper” movies. It was her role in Mean Girls that catapulted her into teen queendom. Unfortunately, this rise to the top also began Lindsay’s gradual downward plummet. Her last truly successful film was Herbie: Fully Loaded. She then suffered a string of box office flops. Apart from her modeling and acting pursuits, Lindsay has also dabbled in music.
Somewhere along the way, Lindsay started earning the reputation of being a party girl. At a very young age, she started what was to become a long history of drug and alcohol abuse. She was fired from several projects for arriving late, and sometimes not showing up at all, after partying heavily all night. (It has been rumored that no studio wants to work with her after such behavior, which would explain her lack of current projects.) She also figured in several car accidents and was in and out of rehab several times, seeming to have finally sobered up when she was discharged the third time in 2007. Lindsay’s family life is almost as interesting as her Bonestudio career. As the eldest child, she was often caught between her parents volatile on again/off again relationship.
Her relationship with her father is particularly tumultuous. She is, however, very close to her mother and extremely protective of her younger siblings. If her family history is colorful, her personal relationships are even more so. Lindsay has been accused of “boyfriend-stealing” several times – Aaron Carter from teen rival Hillary Duff, and Stavros Niarchos III from sometime-best friend Paris Hilton. Although she has since reconciled with Hillary, her relationship with Paris is another story.
They’ve had several very ugly public skirmishes since their friendship dissolved in 2005. They have recently made up again – for the nth time – with Paris saying that they’re both “adults now.” Lindsey with her latest love/girlfriend ‘Samantha Ronson’ Lindsay has also dated Wilmer Valderrama, Harry Morton, and Calum Best. In 2008, Lindsay surprised everyone by getting seriously involved with DJ Samantha Ronson – a union that her father strongly disapproves of. There is much speculation that the LiLo-SamRon relationship is on the rocks, following a series of very public catfights. Lindsay, however, denies that they are breaking up.
The freckled redhead is breathtakingly gorgeous, so it’s really no surprise that she can’t seem to go wrong, fashion-wise. Her style can be classified as “evolving” because she tends to go for pieces that need a bit of getting used to. She’s most often seen wearing Karl Lagerfield and Chanel. She’s also very partial to accessories, and her penchant for leggings is legendary. She has since released 6126, her own line of footless tights, currently available at Fred Segal. Lindsays Bonestudio Collection of tights/leggings 6126 With her life seemingly back on track, can Lindsay Lohan make a comeback and fulfill the promise of that fresh-faced little girl that everyone loved?
Well, she’s beautiful, talented, and sober.
